How to get Success in UGC NET in One Month
National Eligibility Test is a national level exam which is conducted to examine the abilities of students required for holding the position of Lecturers/professors/ associates/ research fellows at India’s reputed universities.
Candidates have to fulfill the UGC NET Eligibility Criteria, the candidate who is in the final year of Post-Graduation or have passed his post-graduation with 55% (For General) or 50% (For ST/SC/OBC/PWD) marks from a government recognized institute are eligible to appear for the exam.
Exam - Pattern of UGC NET Exam:
The aspirants are required to understand the paper pattern to make a strategy to get a good score in the UGC NET exam.
According to UGC Guideline, from 2018 the UGC NET Exam is organized in two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
The detailed information related to these papers are given below.
Paper 1:
It consists questions based on Reasoning Ability, Comprehension Reading, Mental Ability, and General Awareness etc.
Paper 2:
It consists 100 MCQs type questions based on subjects each of 2 marks.
Important Note:
There is no minus marking in the both papers.
Preparation Tips for NTA UGC NET Exam:
1. Understand the exam pattern and marking scheme.
2. Note down the syllabus and important topics according to their weightages.
3. Set your target score and plan a proper strategy.
4. Take the topics which can take less time to prepare and have more weightage.
5. Try to learn topics by using diagrams, flow charts or by categorizing them in sub-topics.
6. Once you complete an entire unit, practice questions based on that.
7. Avoid continuous study and take breaks after studying for one and half hour or more.
8. Solve previous years question papers and model test papers which help you to analyze yourself.
9. Revision is must. Make sure focus more on revision than start a new topic.
10. Be confident and prepare well.
